About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Director, Risk Advisory Services to join our team at CB Canada. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for driving and leading relationships and projects with our client's real estate business and the holding company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive and lead relationships and projects with our client's real estate business and the holding company.
  • Liaise with a variety of cross-functional stakeholders in critical and exciting operational and strategic areas.
  • Engage in process optimization, data analytics and visualization, risk and controls assessments, assurance, and special high-priority consulting projects as requested by Senior Management and the Board.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Superior communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels (both written and verbal).
  • A critical thinker with a risk mindset.
  • The ability to partner and collaborate with cross-functional teams, second lines risk and compliance functions and external auditors/consultants to establish reliance between coverage of risk across the three lines of defense.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset, self-driven, and possess the right experience, leadership and interpersonal skills, and executive presence to drive partnerships and engagements with Stakeholders, Executive Leadership, Audit Committees, and the Board.
Qualifications

You will need to have:

  • 8+ years of experience, including 3+ years of leadership experience, in management consulting, finance, managing business operations, and/or internal audit/ external audit. Big 4 experience is an asset.
  • A bachelor's degree in business, finance, engineering, politics, or social sciences.
  • CPA, ACCA, CIA or MBA is a strong asset.
  • Real Estate or Asset Management experience highly preferred.
