Role Overview
CPP Investments is seeking a Director, Assurance and Advisory to lead the effective planning and execution of audits, providing advisory services, and identifying ways to streamline audit processes. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of governance, risk management, and internal controls, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of work programs, focusing on key risks to the organization
- Provide advisory services that meet management expectations, maintaining objectivity and independence
- Identify and implement ways to streamline audit processes, supporting shorter, more targeted audits
- Foster an inclusive team environment, promoting continuous professional development
- Demonstrate the highest ethical standards, building strong relationships with management
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in accounting, business, finance, or related discipline; postgraduate degree a plus
- At least one of the following professional designations: CPA, CFA, CIA, CISA, or CBV
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in consulting, internal/external audit, and/or risk management at large financial institutions
