We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Arvan Rehab Group. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping our residents achieve their full potential and improve their quality of life.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will work closely with our residents to develop and implement individualized treatment plans, focusing on activities of daily living. This is a part-time position, requiring 4 hours of work per week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct OT/ADP Assessments: Conduct thorough assessments of residents' needs, developing treatment plans that meet their unique requirements.
  • Develop Individualized Treatment Plans: Work with residents to create personalized plans that address their specific needs and goals.
  • Document Progress Notes: Accurately document all progress notes in our facility's health record system.
  • Complete Feeding Assessments: Conduct assessments to determine the best feeding strategies for residents.
  • Assess Falls Prevention and Least Restraints: Identify and implement strategies to prevent falls and reduce the use of restraints.
  • Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Team: Work closely with our Physiotherapist and Nursing staff to ensure comprehensive care and effective treatment plans.
Qualifications
  • Registration and Licensure: Must be registered and in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario, with ADP Authorizer certification.
  • Professional License Insurance: Must have current professional liability insurance.
  • Excellent Interpersonal Skills: Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Strong Written and Verbal Communication: Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document progress notes and communicate effectively with the team.
  • Experience in Long Term Care: Previous experience working in a Long Term Care home is an asset.
  • Police Check: Must have a current police check for the Vulnerable Sector.
