Job Description

At Cellular Point, we are seeking a highly skilled Network Infrastructure Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and administering our local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks, and computer workstations and peripheral equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software, and operating system software.
  • Provide problem-solving services to network users.
  • Implement data, software, and hardware security procedures.
  • Perform routine network start up and close down and maintain control records.
  • Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations.
  • Set up local area networks and connections to the Internet.
  • Implement network traffic and security monitoring software, and optimize server performance.
  • Modify Web pages, applets, and scripts.
  • Research and apply meta-data to Websites and register Websites with search engines.
  • Perform Web-server backup and recovery operations.
  • Supervise technical staff.
Requirements
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience.
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Basic security clearance.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, with tight deadlines, and repetitive tasks.
  • Manual dexterity, attention to detail, and ability to distinguish between colours.
  • Combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
