Job Title: Network Infrastructure Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Network Infrastructure Specialist to join our team at Cellular Point. As a Network Infrastructure Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and administering local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks, and computer workstations and peripheral equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and troubleshoot LANs, WANs, mainframe networks, and computer workstations and peripheral equipment
  • Evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software, and operating system software
  • Provide problem-solving services to network users
  • Implement data, software, and hardware security procedures
  • Perform routine network start-up and close-down and maintain control records
  • Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations
  • Set up local area networks and connections to the Internet
  • Implement network traffic and security monitoring software and optimize server performance
  • Modify Web pages, applets, and scripts
  • Research and apply meta-data to Websites and register Websites with search engines
  • Perform Web-server backup and recovery operations
  • Supervise technical staff

Requirements:

  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • Fast-paced environment
  • Work under pressure
  • Tight deadlines
  • Repetitive tasks
  • Manual dexterity
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to distinguish between colours
  • Combination of sitting, standing, walking
  • Basic security clearance
  • Public transportation is available
