About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Mr. Mass Food Corporation. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department, ensuring that all food and service meet the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and Implement Operational Procedures

Develop and implement effective methods to meet work schedules, requisition food and kitchen supplies, and supervise the activities of staff who prepare and portion food.

Train and Develop Staff

Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure they are meeting the required standards.

Manage Inventory and Budgets

Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, and prepare budget and cost estimates.

Ensure Quality and Customer Satisfaction

Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, address customers' complaints or concerns, and prepare food order summaries for the chef.

Supervise and Coordinate

Supervise and check the delivery of food trolleys, establish work schedules, and maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Requirements
  • Education and Experience

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service supervisory role.

Support for Diverse Groups

Participate in government or community programs that support persons with disabilities, newcomers and refugees, youth employment, Veterans, Indigenous people, and visible minorities.

Language and Work Schedule

Fluency in English, with a 40-hour workweek.
