Business Banking Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Business Banking Advisor to join our team in Kelowna, BC.
Key Responsibilities:- Business Development: Develop and execute sales plans to consolidate and retain existing business and attract new business; proactively solicit new business by pursuing and establishing community contacts and networks to generate new business and/or referrals.
- Portfolio Management: Manage and grow an existing portfolio of business banking members; build long-term relationships with existing members; conduct annual reviews on accounts within the assigned portfolio and ensure all terms and conditions of credit are being met.
- Sales and Service Strategy: Provide ongoing advisory services to business banking members; initiate referrals to product specialists as required; achieve or exceed sales and growth targets.
- Wealth Management: As a licensed MFDA Advisor, provide wealth and investment solutions.
- Risk Management: Initiate collection activity in the event of delinquency less than 90 days and recommend appropriate course of action to address significantly delinquent accounts and to maximize recovery of funds.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or equivalent combination of education and experience required
- Must complete the internal First West certification program specific to this role within the required timeframe
- Mutual Funds License required
- 4 years retail/business/commercial lending or commercial credit experience or equivalent required
- Sales experience preferred
- Strong relationship builder and communicator with a demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment
- Results-oriented attitude with demonstrated business development techniques
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the flexibility to adapt to a constantly changing environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, specifically MS Excel and Word.
- Displays an understanding of risk and risk ownership by being able to demonstrate adherence to policies and procedures.
Pay Transparency: Salary Range: $62,640 - $80,300 Please note, the salary range mentioned in this job posting should serve as a guide. The final compensation offered may vary based on a variety of factors including bonuses and/or incentives, or a candidate's skills and experience.
