About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Private Banking Officer Sales Specialist to join our team at BMO Financial Group. As a key member of our private banking team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to our high net worth clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Service: Provide superior service to existing and potential clients, demonstrating a comprehensive knowledge of our products and services.
  • Relationship Building: Identify and discuss clients' needs, working collaboratively with the branch and regional teams to identify and make referrals.
  • Product Knowledge: Assist in preparing new business proposals or presentations to clients/prospects, and identify customer needs and match with appropriate products or services.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and recommend workflow process alternatives that can lead to improved efficiency and service levels.
  • Client Inquiries: Take ownership of client inquiries/concerns/complaints, ensuring timely resolution and referring as appropriate.
  • Knowledge and Compliance: Maintain detailed knowledge and understanding of integrated private banking services and offerings, as well as a detailed understanding of the strategic direction of the business.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver on business objectives.
  • Analysis and Insights: Analyze data and information to provide insights and recommendations.
Requirements
  • Experience: Typically between 2 – 3 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in a related field of study desirable or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Licensing and Certification: Must meet the licensing and certification requirements for the team/branch/jurisdiction where the mandate is being fulfilled.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Working knowledge of personal (primarily) and commercial credit and non-credit products, monitoring/operational processes and applications.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Good verbal & written communication skills, good organization skills, good collaboration & team skills, and good analytical and problem-solving skills.
