Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and skilled 5 Ton Courier driver to join our team based in Truro, NS. As a 5 Ton Courier driver, you will be responsible for driving a 5-ton truck, picking up and delivering various items to different locations, and performing physical labor to handle shipments weighing up to 75 lbs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive a 5-ton truck and/or cube truck
  • Pick up and deliver various items to different locations
  • Perform physical labor to handle shipments weighing up to 75 lbs
  • Load and unload deliveries using various mechanisms and delivery assistance devices
  • Use technology to map routes, track shipments, and communicate with customers
  • Ensure accurate documentation and entry of delivery information
  • Maintain route supply inventory to ensure prompt delivery to customers
  • Perform other duties as required

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years' experience driving professionally preferred
  • Ability to multitask and complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner
  • Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work
  • Reliable and strong work ethic
  • Ability to work independently and make responsible decisions
  • Good listening and verbal communication skills
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License (required)
  • Class 3 considered an asset
