Municipal Group of Companies is a leader in the transportation industry, providing quality service to customers and employing quality employees. Our services include Courier Services, Light LTL, and Third-Party Logistics to various regions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer customer inquiries and handle payments and pickups.
  • Utilize ShipTrack software to dispatch, track, and report on transportation activities.
  • Verify time-sensitive freight and communicate with the chain of command.
  • Predict and communicate potential service delays to customers.
  • Adapt routes to reduce service delays through re-routing jobs.
  • Identify and communicate potential sales leads to customers.
  • Understand the services offered by MBW, including Same Day, Overnight, and Direct Drive.
  • Provide clients with quotes for shipping costs.
  • Develop knowledge of the geography of the regions served.
  • Interact with drivers to assist with transportation activities.
  • Collaborate with the MBW Dispatch team and other departments.
  • Adhere to MBW Courier Inc. Policies and Procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Experience with MS Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Tech knowledge is considered an asset.
  • Previous experience in the trucking or courier industry is preferred.
  • Ability to multitask and complete tasks efficiently.
  • Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work.
  • Reliable and strong work ethic.
  • Willingness to work in a team environment.
  • High level of sound and independent judgment and reasoning.
  • Compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
  • Ability to deal with people tactfully and professionally.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License is required.
