Logistics Coordinator

Municipal Group of Companies is a leading provider of transportation services, offering a range of solutions to meet the needs of our customers. We are currently seeking a skilled Dispatcher to join our team based in Truro, Nova Scotia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
- Utilize ShipTrack software to dispatch, track, and report on shipments
- Verify the status of time-sensitive freight and communicate with drivers and customers as needed
- Predict and communicate potential service delays to customers
- Adapt routes to minimize delays and ensure efficient delivery
- Identify and communicate potential sales leads to the sales team
- Provide clients with accurate quotes for shipping costs
- Develop a strong understanding of our services, including Same Day, Overnight, and Direct Drive
- Interact with drivers to provide support and assistance as needed
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements:
- 2-3 years of experience in a similar role
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Technical knowledge is considered an asset
- Previous experience in the trucking or courier industry is preferred
- Strong work ethic and ability to multitask
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License is required
