About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Care Team Assistant to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct, hands-on care to patients based on their individual needs and program/unit requirements.

Reporting to the Health Services Manager and working under the supervision or direction of regulated health professionals, you will be responsible for supporting patients' activities of daily living and instrumental activities of daily living. You will also reinforce patient and family teaching according to established guidelines and the plan of care.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications and skills:

  • Continuing Care Assistant Program certification with the Department of Health and Wellness
  • Provincial Certification with the CCA Registry
  • Current Basic Life Support Certification
  • Effective listening and communication skills
  • Competencies in other languages, with French being an asset

As a Care Team Assistant, you will work collaboratively with our healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care. If you are a motivated and compassionate individual with a passion for healthcare, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.

Hours and Compensation
