Earthworks and Infrastructure Project Coordinator

This role is responsible for supporting project managers with earthworks and municipal infrastructure construction projects. The successful candidate will assist with budgeting, scheduling, contracts, change orders, purchase orders, forecasting, land due diligence, project feasibility, and municipal government approval processes.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct quantity take-offs from servicing concepts to estimate offsite and onsite infrastructure requirements including earthworks for land development.
- Source quotations for material supply and installation to ensure timely project completion.
- Attend municipal planning/engineering review meetings to address Beedie's interests, record minutes, and circulate to attendees/Land Development group.
- Prepare and issue project tender packages, including scopes of work customized for specific projects.
- Prepare bid analysis spreadsheets and recommendations for PM approval.
- Manage letter of credit systems, reducing credits and coordinating with consultants/contractors/municipalities.
- Process permit applications, print drawings, and submissions to municipalities.
- Prepare Request for Proposals for consultants and contractors and issue awards.
- Maintain purchase orders and sub-contracts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Conduct as-built/report searches at municipalities to verify project completion.
- Document management and formatting to ensure easy access to project files.
- Maintain Land Development share directory, keeping it up-to-date and organized.
- Archive completed projects and related files – digital, for future reference.
- Prepare Meeting Agendas, scheduling meetings based on attendees' availability.
- Monitor site progress, reviewing the quality of work completed and noting any deviations from project timelines or specifications.
- Identify and note any site safety issues to the site superintendent and site safety officer.
- Prepare Expense Reports/Project Cost Reports, reviewing budgets vs. actuals.
We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a strong background in municipal infrastructure, land development, and/or earthworks. The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical and research skills, exceptional written and oral communication skills, and the ability to handle a heavy workload, multitask, and prioritize tasks effectively.
A Technical Diploma, or BASc in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, is required, along with at least 2 years of experience in municipal infrastructure, land development, and/or earthworks, with a portion directly involved in project coordination. The ability to travel throughout the lower mainland with access to your own vehicle is also essential.
About the OpportunityThe estimated annual salary for this position is $65,000 - $75,000, depending on the desired experience level.
