As a Strategic Animal Welfare Leader, you will be responsible for elevating the operations of our organization, continuing to improve processes that drive our success, and ensuring program quality and sustainability through the development and implementation of standards, processes, and controls.
This leadership role requires a multi-faceted approach, encompassing finance, revenue generation, operations, people resources, union relationships, and negotiations. You will work closely with the Medical Director and Animal Care Manager to ensure all three centres and the medical clinic are effectively managed in accordance with legislated requirements.
The ideal candidate will possess a high level of emotional intelligence, empathy, and conflict resolution skills to deal with demanding, unclear, and complex circumstances. Experience working with all levels of government officials, media, and as an ambassador for a similar organization is highly desirable.
Key Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior leadership role, preferably in the charitable or not-for-profit sector.
- A proven track record in philanthropy, building community relationships, and leading large fundraising campaigns.
- Business acumen, entrepreneurial skills, and experience in managing finance, revenue generation, operations, people resources, union relationships, and negotiations.
- Strong advocacy for animal welfare and a commitment to creating a more compassionate community.
