Job Title: Apprentice Motor Vehicle Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Apprentice Motor Vehicle Mechanic to join our team at Cascades Canada ULC. As an Apprentice Motor Vehicle Mechanic, you will have the opportunity to work with a experienced team of technicians and learn the latest techniques and technologies in the automotive industry.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting skilled tradespersons with motor vehicle repairs and maintenance, including inspecting and testing automotive systems and components, adjusting and repairing parts and components, and performing scheduled maintenance service. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of automotive systems and components, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist skilled tradespersons with motor vehicle repairs and maintenance
  • Inspect and test automotive systems and components
  • Adjust and repair parts and components
  • Perform scheduled maintenance service
  • Complete reports to record problems and work performed
  • Diagnose faults using testing devices
  • Assist with other tasks as required
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with a team of experienced technicians. The ideal candidate will have excellent hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, and manual dexterity.

Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the automotive industry
  • Strong understanding of automotive systems and components
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
