About the Role

Cascades Recovery is seeking a skilled and motivated Apprentice Motor Vehicle Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Inspection and Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections of motor vehicles to identify potential issues and perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns.
  • Diagnostic and Repair Work: Use advanced diagnostic tools to identify and repair complex issues with motor vehicles, including electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Collaboration with Senior Technicians: Work closely with senior technicians to learn new skills and techniques, and to assist with more complex repairs.
  • Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance and repairs, and provide regular reports to management on vehicle performance and maintenance needs.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate, with a focus on mechanical or technical studies.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a related field, with a strong understanding of motor vehicle systems and repair techniques.
  • Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and management.
