Mental Health Intake Specialist Role

We are growing again and seeking a Mental Health Intake Specialist to join our team at CMHA-YRSS. As one of the fastest growing branches of the Canadian Mental Health Association, we provide 30+ mental health and addiction programs to adults, youth, family caregivers, local businesses, and community organizations.
This is an ideal role for candidates looking to build experience and professional development with a national leader in community mental health while implementing CBT within a publicly funded mental health program.
The Mental Health Intake Specialist will work on a contract basis, full-time, until September 2025, with 35 hours per week and occasional evening shifts.
Our competitive total compensation package includes an estimated annual salary of $54,800.
The successful candidate will be responsible for administering assessments, triaging clients to appropriate services, providing service navigation, and offering interim support to clients in alignment with the clinical guidelines of the Ontario Structured Psychotherapy (OSP) program.
To be eligible, applicants must hold a Registered Social Worker or Social Service Worker designation with a related diploma or Bachelor of Social Work degree.
Applicants should have at least two years of experience working as a Social Worker or Social Service Worker in a mental health setting, conducting psychiatric/mental health intake assessments, gathering relevant information, and triaging, with a focus on mood and anxiety disorders.
A strong set of skills and qualities are required, including excellent health assessment skills, sound clinical judgment, diagnostic skills, a results-oriented work ethic, and proficiency in Microsoft Office365 applications.
