We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Craft Beer Market. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in the preparation and cooking of meals, as well as supervising cooks and other kitchen staff.
Key Responsibilities- Menu Planning and Execution: Assist in planning and preparing menus for special events and daily service, ensuring that all dishes meet our high quality standards.
- Chef Supervision: Supervise and train cooks and other kitchen staff to ensure that they are meeting our standards for food quality and presentation.
- Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events such as banquets, as well as for regular service.
- Inventory Management: Requisition food and kitchen supplies as needed to ensure that our kitchen is well-stocked and efficient.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all food meets our quality standards, and make adjustments as needed to maintain high levels of quality.
As a Sous Chef at Craft Beer Market, you will be working in a fast-paced environment with a high level of pressure to deliver high-quality food to our customers. You will be required to stand for extended periods and work in a physically demanding environment.
Requirements- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and train kitchen staff.
- Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail, with the ability to ensure that all food meets our quality standards.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Gratuities: Competitive gratuities.
- Work Term: Permanent position.
- Work Language: English.
- Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week.
