About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team at BEST Service Pros. This role is responsible for meeting the business' frontline and salaried recruitment needs, ensuring compliance with our culture, mission, and values.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide full cycle recruiting for both hourly and salaried roles, partnering with various departments to assist with staffing needs and requirements.
  2. Creatively source candidates and utilize internal applicant tracking systems, job boards, and community networks to recruit active and passive candidates.
  3. Conduct initial screenings to assess candidates' qualifications, skills, and cultural fit.
  4. Evaluate candidates based on role requirements and skills assessments.
  5. Provide guidance and support to hiring managers throughout the selection and decision-making process.
  6. Ensure a positive candidate experience by providing clear communication, timely feedback, and a smooth onboarding process.
  7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate information in the ATS and other recruitment databases.
  8. Support onsite recruitment efforts, including career fairs and job fairs.
  9. Ensure compliance with BEST's hiring policies, Provincial Employment Standards, human rights, and privacy laws.

Requirements:

  1. Excellent interpersonal and communicational skills.
  2. Intermediate knowledge of MS Office and ATS systems.
  3. Good understanding of Employment Standards at a provincial level across Canada.
  4. Ability to build and maintain rapport with local communities, associations, and organizations.
  5. Ability to analyze, plan, organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines.

Education and Experience:

  1. HR-related post-secondary diploma/degree.
  2. Minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience in a high-volume recruiting environment.
  3. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving abstract.
  4. Acceptable security and criminal record check.
