Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to join our team at QNX Software Systems. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing safe and secure software systems for embedded applications.

About the Role:

This is a challenging opportunity for a skilled Embedded Software Engineer to work on high-profile projects in the automotive and industrial sectors. You will be working closely with our development team to design, develop, and test software systems that meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain software drivers for various hardware peripherals
  • Design and implement board support packages (BSPs) for embedded platforms
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure software meets safety and security standards
  • Perform code reviews and contribute to the improvement of software development processes
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience in embedded software development
  • Expertise in C and Assembly programming languages
  • Familiarity with Linux and other real-time operating systems
  • Experience with driver development and board bring-up
  • Strong understanding of safety and security standards (ISO 26262, IEC 61508)
