Project Manager, Contract – System Integration

The Project Manager will lead the integration and implementation of a new end-to-end system managing front (partner and customer portals), middle (contract origination), and back-office (contract management) operations across all business units. This role requires a deep understanding of system integration, APIs, current architecture, and the target operating model to ensure the successful delivery of a large-scale transformation project for a major leasing company.

*Please note this is a 12-month contract role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to define the project scope, strategy, and key milestones. Develop a comprehensive project plan that includes technical architecture, resources, timelines, and integration requirements.
  • Oversee the complete system integration process, ensuring seamless interaction between front, middle, and back-office systems through API-based communication and other integration protocols.
  • Lead the evaluation and mapping of current architecture, identifying dependencies, technical gaps, and key integration points between existing systems and the new unified platform.
  • Partner with IT, architecture, and technical teams to develop the target operating model, ensuring that the integrated system supports long-term business goals and operational efficiency.
  • Liaise with technical resources to execute the integration of diverse systems (Rapport, IL10, Stratus/Retail Hub, Mosaic, and IL Cloud) across different business units, ensuring alignment with the new end-to-end leasing lifecycle platform.
  • Develop and oversee the API strategy, ensuring secure, efficient, and scalable communication between the new system and existing platforms. Collaborate with development teams to design and implement APIs, ensuring robust system interoperability.
  • Conduct detailed technical reviews and design sessions to ensure that all integration points are clearly defined, documented, and tested prior to implementation.
  • Ensure that all interfaces and integration formats (such as RESTful APIs, SOAP, and other web services) are aligned with the overall system design and business requirements.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, working closely with Product Owners, architects, IT teams, vendor and integration partners to manage technical user stories, sprint backlogs, and ensure integration activities are tracked and delivered on time.
  • Lead cross-functional technical teams in developing and testing integration solutions, ensuring a smooth transition from legacy systems to the new platform.
  • Manage technical risks, issues, and dependencies, including troubleshooting integration challenges, resolving system compatibility issues, and mitigating potential bottlenecks in data flow and communication.
  • Ensure alignment between business processes and system capabilities, providing technical oversight for change management efforts, data migration, and implementation.
  • Facilitate the documentation of technical specifications, including system interfaces, data migration processes, integration workflows, and other critical IT components.
  • Lead stakeholder engagement, focusing on technical communication with both internal teams and external vendors to ensure clarity on system architecture, integration processes, and operational handover.
  • Provide technical guidance and insights into performance reporting, KPIs, and post-project assessments, with a focus on system stability, API performance, and operational efficiency post-integration.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent technical field.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in IT project management with a strong focus on system integration, APIs, and technical architecture.
  • Proven experience managing the integration of large-scale systems with diverse tech stacks, ensuring system interoperability through APIs and other integration methods.
  • Strong understanding of integration frameworks, APIs (REST, SOAP), microservices architecture, and experience with system architecture design and analysis.
  • Experience integrating cloud-based and on-premises solutions.
  • Deep expertise in Agile methodologies and technical project management tools (e.g., ADO, Jira, Zephyr) to manage technical sprints, backlogs, and integration tasks.
  • Solid understanding of system interfaces, data flows, and the end-to-end lifecycle management process in a leasing or financial services environment.
  • Experience working with technical teams to design, implement, and troubleshoot integration solutions, including middleware platforms and communication protocols.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, particularly in identifying and resolving integration bottlenecks, system incompatibilities, and data migration challenges.
  • Hands-on experience managing data migration processes, ensuring data integrity, and validating historical data in the new system.
  • PMP certification is preferred, with demonstrated success in managing projects within time, scope, and budget constraints.
  • Excellent technical communication skills, capable of explaining complex integration challenges and system architectures to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to collaborate with external vendors and internal teams to ensure that integration objectives are met, and technical handovers are well-documented and understood.
  • Experience in leading technical integration projects in the leasing or financial services industries.
  • Expertise in developing target operating models that align system capabilities with business requirements.
  • Strong vendor management skills, with experience working with third-party technology providers to ensure system compatibility and integration success.
  • Proven track record of managing projects involving API development, system interoperability, and complex data migration.
  • Comfortable interfacing with senior executives and technical architects to ensure that integration efforts align with the broader organizational strategy.
  • Familiarity with various technology stacks (e.g., Rapport, InfoLease, Stratus/Retail Hub, Mosaic) is a plus.
