About the Role
The Systems Integration Specialist will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing control systems that integrate multiple sub-systems to meet the operational and regulatory needs of our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement logic for assigned project tasks, including PLC/HMI/SCADA program development and testing
- Create technical documentation, such as control logic, test procedures, and user manuals
- Program PLC/RTU systems using platforms such as Allen Bradley, Schneider, and SEL RTAC
- Program HMI/SCADA systems using platforms such as Ignition, Wonderware, and Kepware/Topserver
- Supervise on-site commissioning and start-up of control systems
- Take ownership of personal quality and ensure tasks are completed on time and within budget
Requirements
- Two-year technical degree in a relevant field
- 2-4 years of experience in industrial control systems, integration of robotics systems, or programming in a related field
- Renewable energy industry exposure, particularly in wind, PV, and BESS
- Working knowledge of communication protocols (DNP3, Modbus, etc.) and internet network architectures
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines by setting priorities
- Excellent verbal and written communication, time management, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to read engineering design drawings, including communication diagrams, logic diagrams, and network schematics
- Proven experience in Microsoft software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SQL, Access)
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and organizational skills
- Willingness to travel 25-35% of the time
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
- Valid Canadian driver's license and ability to meet company driving standards
