The Project Management Coordinator (PMC) reports under the Project Management Office (PMO) and is assigned responsibilities to the delivery lifecycle of client projects associated with Automation and Safety, Smart Manufacturing, Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), and other aspects to the systems integration business.
As a key member of the Grantek Systems Integration team, the PMC will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects. This includes assisting Project Managers and PMO Directors with development and ongoing continuity of project plans, resource planning, financial monitoring, and progress reports.
The PMC will also be responsible for managing small project work under the guidance of a Sr. project manager, serving as the primary point of contact with clients on all project-related issues, and coordinating the proposal teams between Sales, Engineering, and Project Management.
Additionally, the PMC will assist with reviewing alternative staffing strategies, communicate potential resource shuffling with involved PMs, and be involved with change management of our Project Management methodologies and processes.
The ideal candidate will have a post-secondary education with a focus on business, technology, or engineering, and evidence of experience in a project-based organization. Industrial Automation knowledge, particularly in the Food and Beverage industry, is highly desirable.
The PMC will be responsible for:
- Assisting Project Managers and PMO Directors with project planning, resource allocation, and financial management.
- Managing small project work under the guidance of a Sr. project manager.
- Serving as the primary point of contact with clients on all project-related issues.
- Coordinating proposal teams between Sales, Engineering, and Project Management.
- Reviewing alternative staffing strategies and communicating potential resource shuffling with involved PMs.
- Being involved with change management of our Project Management methodologies and processes.
- Assisting with project reviews and audits to ensure compliance with company policies and industry certifications.
The successful candidate will be highly organized, have excellent communication skills, and be proficient in MS Office 365 business suite, SharePoint, and reporting solutions such as PowerBI. Fluency in English and French is also required.
