Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical lead for rolling stock studies, procurement, and maintenance initiatives, including rolling stock maintenance facilities.
  • Oversee design and acquisition projects for maintenance equipment.
  • Act as a project manager for assigned rolling stock initiatives, ensuring that outcomes meet and exceed client expectations while achieving project profitability.
  • Prepare comprehensive technical and financial proposals for designated rolling stock projects.

Qualifications

Education: A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering. Membership in the OEQ is considered an asset.

Experience: At least 5 years of professional experience in the heavy rail sector.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD.
  • Demonstrated expertise in rolling stock or locomotives.
  • Fluency in French and a functional level of English to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.

Personal Attributes:

  • Strong teamwork abilities on multidisciplinary projects.
  • Capacity to work independently, often under tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in drafting clear technical reports and proposals.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for short-term assignments.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities and a commitment to business growth.

Reports To: Director of Heavy Rail, Rolling Stock

Compensation: Based on qualifications and experience.
