Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical lead for rolling stock assessments, procurement, and maintenance initiatives, including rolling stock maintenance facilities.
  • Oversee design and equipment acquisition projects related to maintenance.
  • Act as a project manager for designated rolling stock initiatives, ensuring that outcomes exceed client expectations and meet profitability objectives.
  • Develop technical and financial proposals for assigned rolling stock projects.

Qualifications

Education: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering. Membership in the OEQ is a plus.

Experience: At least 5 years of professional experience in the heavy rail sector.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD.
  • Demonstrated expertise in rolling stock or locomotives.
  • Fluency in French and a functional command of English to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.

Personal Attributes:

  • Strong teamwork skills for multidisciplinary projects.
  • Ability to work independently and manage pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Skilled in crafting clear technical reports and proposals.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for short-term assignments.
  • Demonstrated leadership and business development capabilities.
