Cybersecurity Audit Expert, Assistant Vice President

We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Audit Expert, Assistant Vice President within our Corporate Audit Division to lead audit engagements focused on Information Technology within the Global Technology Services (GTS) Business Unit. GTS enables State Street's vision as a technology-led innovator, outsourcing partner, and resilient platform for investors.
This role involves overseeing individual audit engagements and leading assigned teams through all aspects of the audit (e.g., planning, assessments, testing, and reporting). Key responsibilities include:
- Executing audits according to our risk-based methodology, internal standards, and industry practices.
- Directing risk and control assessments, effective testing of key controls, and reviewing workpapers to ensure execution in line with internal standards.
- Drafting clear audit reports communicating overall conclusions, including key risks, identified issues, their root cause, and impact on business strategy.
- Working with business area management to communicate expectations, manage project issues, and escalate potential issues to senior management timely.
- Maintaining a thorough understanding of assigned areas, including key technology, products, organizational activities, regulatory environment, and global footprint.
Responsibilities Continued
- Establishing strong client relationships with business management across lines of defense and assisting management in implementing internal control principles.
- Coaching and mentoring audit staff for ongoing development.
- Effectively managing complexity, prioritizing tasks, and working independently in non-routine situations and fast-paced environments.
- Synthesizing understanding of business processes into value-added feedback on risk and control environments.
- Applying regulatory requirements through research and interpretation.
Requirements and Qualifications
- University degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field; advanced degrees preferred.
- 5+ years' experience executing or auditing technology-related areas, such as financial services operational processes and technology, automated business process controls, enterprise security controls frameworks.
Additional Information
The salary range for this position is estimated between $125,000 and $175,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. While most work will be done from your primary location, domestic and international travel may be required to various locations where State Street operates.
