The Wholesale Credit Senior Auditor role at Citibank involves performing moderately complex audits and assessments of risk and control environments in coordination with the Audit team. The objective is to utilize in-depth subject matter expertise to contribute to the development of new techniques and processes for the area or function, helping Citibank achieve business goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform moderately complex audits, including drafting reports, presenting issues to the business, and discussing practical solutions.
  • Complete assigned audits within budgeted timeframes and costs.
  • Monitor, assess, and recommend solutions to emerging risks.
  • Contribute to the development of audit process improvements, including automated routines.
  • Apply internal audit standards, policies, and regulations to provide timely assurance and influence audit scope.
  • Develop effective line management relationships to ensure a strong understanding of the business.
  • Operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
  • Exercise independence of judgment and autonomy.
  • Act as SME to senior stakeholders and/or other team members.
  • Assess risk when business decisions are made, considering the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct, and business practices, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • A minimum of 5-8 years of relevant experience.
  • Effective verbal and written communication and negotiation skills.
  • Subject matter expertise regarding audit technology application.
  • Effective project management skills.
  • Influencing and relationship management skills.
  • A demonstrated ability to remain unbiased in a diverse working environment.

This role requires a Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience.
