Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Development Engineer to join our Product Design team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for researching, designing, engineering, and managing new injection molded outdoor products from inception to product release.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research and identify trends and opportunities in the outdoor accessories and decor market
  • Develop design concepts and product ideas that meet customer needs and exceed expectations
  • Create 3D drawings and models that consider size, price, and manufacturing capabilities
  • Participate in product refinement and testing processes to ensure high-quality products
  • Submit RFQs to tooling manufacturers and manage tooling manufacturing with third-party tool makers
  • Liaise with the content team to ensure accurate and timely product content creation
  • Communicate and work with local and overseas manufacturers and tool makers
  • Research and stay up-to-date on new injection molding and manufacturing technologies
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in plastic product design and development
  • Proficient in CAD software, such as SolidWorks or Fusion
  • Strong understanding of plastic materials, manufacturing processes, and design for injection molding
  • Familiarity with rapid prototyping techniques, such as 3D printing
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with a passion for creating innovative and functional designs
