Accounts Payable Administrator

At CB Canada, we are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team. This long-term contract/temporary position is located in the Waterloo, Ontario area.
Job Summary:
The successful candidate will play a critical part in a team environment as an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk. Key responsibilities include matching, batching, and coding invoices, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L, processing checks, and resolving A/P issues.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out additional projects as required
- Handle customer service needs of internal business partners
- Perform daily processes and controls correctly and punctually, ensuring company policies are followed
- Facilitate internal and external audits as needed
- Handle daily department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it
- Provide administrative assistance to the AP/Finance Department
- Maintain proper storage of invoices, checks, and other documents by organizing, logging, scanning, and filing them
- Verify, log and send checks, including facilitating special handling
- Implement full-cycle A/P
Requirements:
- Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Spreadsheet and database capabilities
- Demonstrated communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds
- Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
- Accruals experience required
- Accounts Payable (AP) experience
- AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
Salary: The estimated salary for this position is $24.12 per hour, based on industry standards in Waterloo, Ontario.
