Job Title: Floor Layer's Helper

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Floor Layer's Helper to join our team at Designer Flooring. As a key member of our construction team, you will assist our floor layers in various tasks related to flooring installation and maintenance.

Responsibilities:
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites.
  • Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades as required.
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt under the supervision of experienced floor layers.
  • Help medical examiners in charge with tasks as needed.
  • Level earth to fine grade specifications to ensure a smooth and even surface.
  • Perform routine maintenance work on equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites to ensure a clean and organized workspace.
  • Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction to ensure they are running efficiently.
  • Load, unload, and move products and materials by hand or with basic material handling equipment to meet the needs of the job site.
  • Sort, crate, and stack goods to ensure they are properly stored and secured.
Requirements:
  • Physically demanding work environment.
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail required.
  • Ability to handle heavy loads and work at heights.
  • Reliability and dependability essential.
  • Team player with a hardworking attitude.
  • 40 hours per week, with willingness to travel as needed.
Working Conditions:
  • Varied work settings, including industrial, commercial, and residential sites.
  • Exposure to heavy machinery, chemicals, and other hazards.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
