Job Title: Flooring Assistant

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Flooring Assistant to join our team at Designer Flooring. As a key member of our construction team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful completion of our flooring projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites.
  • Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades as required.
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt.
  • Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of equipment and tools.
  • Perform routine maintenance work, including cleaning up chemical spills and removing rubble and debris.
  • Load, unload, and move products and materials by hand or with basic material handling equipment.
  • Sort, crate, and stack goods as needed.
Requirements:
  • Physically demanding work environment.
  • Manual dexterity and ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Attention to detail and ability to work accurately.
  • Dependability, reliability, and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively.
Working Conditions:

Our Flooring Assistant will work in a fast-paced construction environment, with varying weather conditions and physical demands. The successful candidate will be required to wear steel-toed safety boots and use a cellular phone for communication.

Language and Work Hours:

The successful candidate will be required to work 40 hours per week and communicate in English. We offer a permanent position with a competitive salary and benefits package.
