Fraser Health Authority is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as an Emergency Psychiatric Liaison Nurse. This role is responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency department setting. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform psychosocial assessments and develop care plans for patients with mental health and substance use issues
- Collaborate with emergency department staff and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
- Provide crisis intervention and counseling services to patients and their families
- Document patient assessments, care plans, and outcomes in accordance with practice standards and Fraser Health procedures
Requirements
- Graduation from an approved School of Nursing plus current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
- One (1) year recent related experience in an acute or community Mental Health & Substance Use setting, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
