Foot Care Team Lead

Spectrum Health Care is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Foot Care Supervisor to lead our team of Foot Care Nurses in providing high-quality services to clients in the community and facility setting.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Team Management
- Lead a team of Foot Care Nurses to ensure efficient and effective delivery of Foot Care services
- Develop and implement strategies to improve team performance and productivity
- Client Care and Assessment
- Assess client needs and develop individualized care plans
- Collaborate with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
- Quality Assurance and Improvement
- Develop and implement quality assurance processes to ensure compliance with legislation and standards of practice
- Conduct regular audits and evaluations to identify areas for improvement
- Staff Development and Training
- Identify learning needs of staff and develop training programs to enhance skills and knowledge
- Collaborate with Human Resources and other internal experts to prepare content and deliver training
- Performance Management and Evaluation
- Conduct regular performance appraisals and provide feedback to staff
- Implement progressive disciplinary action as needed
- Communication and Collaboration
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care
- Collaborate with the Foot Care Coordinator to schedule services and oversee facility schedules
- Administrative and Operational Tasks
- Complete inventory checks and order supplies as needed
- Assist Foot Care Nurses in clinics/private settings as required
- Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Practical Nurse with the CNO
- Basic, Advanced, and Diabetes Foot Care Certificates
- Knowledge of College of Nurses (CNO) Foot Care Guidelines and Registered Nurses Association of Ontario (RNAO) Foot Care Best Practice Guidelines
- Minimum of three years of experience with progressive leadership responsibilities as a direct supervisor, preferably in a community setting
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to handle difficult situations in an objective and consistent format
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle (Extensive local travel is required to ensure contact with Foot Care Nurses on a routine basis and provide Foot Care services to clients as required)
- Solid Foot Care knowledge of the principles, practices, and methods of community nursing and service delivery to clients as well as program development, implementation, and evaluation
