Foot Care Supervisor

Spectrum Health Care is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to fill the role of Foot Care Supervisor in our Peel region team.
Job Summary:
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of Foot Care Nurses to provide high-quality foot care services to clients in the community and facility setting. This includes assessing client needs, formulating care plans, and ensuring compliance with legislation and standards of practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of Foot Care Nurses to provide efficient and quality foot care services to clients
- Assess client needs and develop care plans to ensure optimal outcomes
- Identify learning needs of staff and collaborate with HR to develop training content
- Motivate and direct staff to ensure high-quality care that meets organizational standards
- Conduct performance appraisals and implement disciplinary action as needed
- Address client concerns and complaints in a timely manner
- Hold regular team meetings to discuss program changes and address concerns
- Collaborate with the Foot Care Coordinator on scheduling and facility schedules
- Complete inventory checks and order supplies as required
- Assist Foot Care Nurses in clinics and private settings as needed
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) with the CNO
- Basic, Advanced, and Diabetes Foot Care Certificates
- Knowledge of CNO Foot Care Guidelines and RNAO Foot Care Best Practice Guidelines
- Minimum of three years of experience with progressive leadership responsibilities as a direct supervisor, preferably in a community setting
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to handle difficult situations
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle for local travel
- Solid Foot Care knowledge of community nursing principles, practices, and methods
