Housekeeping Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housekeeping Manager to join our team at Best Western Plus Revelstoke.
Job Summary:The Housekeeping Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring that all rooms and public areas are clean and well-maintained. This includes supervising a team of housekeeping staff, coordinating the purchase of equipment and supplies, and maintaining financial records.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and coordinate the activities of housekeeping staff, ensuring that all rooms and public areas are clean and well-maintained.
- Plan and coordinate the purchase of equipment and supplies, ensuring that the housekeeping department has the necessary resources to perform its duties.
- Maintain accurate financial records, including budgets and payrolls.
- Ensure that safety standards and departmental policies are met, and that all staff are aware of and adhere to these policies.
- Conduct performance evaluations and appraisals of housekeeping staff, providing feedback and coaching to improve performance.
- Maintain inventory of supplies, equipment, and uniforms, ensuring that the housekeeping department has the necessary resources to perform its duties.
- Coordinate maintenance and repair services, ensuring that all equipment and facilities are in good working order.
- Respond to guest complaints and concerns, resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- 3-5 years of experience in a housekeeping or hospitality management role.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team of staff.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Knowledge of safety standards and departmental policies, with the ability to ensure compliance and adherence.
