Project Manager I

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager I to join our team at Wesco International, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of a project to ensure timely and budget-friendly completion. This role requires strong leadership and organizational skills, as well as the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders and team members.
Key Responsibilities- Project Development: Provide support with project development from inception to completion, ensuring that all aspects of the project are well-planned and executed.
- Project Scope Definition: Assist in defining project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders to support business objectives.
- Project Planning: Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and aligned.
- Project Communication: Effectively communicate project updates and progress to management and team members, ensuring that all parties are informed and engaged.
- Resource Estimation: Estimate resources and participants needed to achieve project goals, ensuring that all necessary personnel and materials are allocated.
- Corporate Alignment: Align project activities with corporate goals around safety, quality, delivery, and cost, ensuring that all projects are aligned with company objectives.
- Root Cause Analysis: Perform root cause analysis on gaps and identify waste, working with leadership to drive sustainable corrective action.
- Budgeting: Draft and submit budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes as needed.
- Staffing: Determine and assess the need for additional staff or consultants, making appropriate staffing adjustments during the project cycle.
- Project Expectations: Set and manage project expectations with team members, ensuring that all parties are aware of their roles and responsibilities.
- Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team, ensuring that all parties are informed and engaged.
- Project Dependencies: Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path, ensuring that all projects are well-coordinated and executed.
- Project Timelines: Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and aligned.
- Project Tracking: Track project milestones and deliverables, ensuring that all projects are on track and meeting objectives.
- Reporting: Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations as needed.
- Contingency Planning: Manage changes in project scope, identify potential concerns, and devise contingency plans to ensure project success.
- Education: High School Degree or equivalent experience required; Associate's degree preferred.
- Experience: 2 years required, 4 years experience preferred of directing work in a project management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution.
- Business Acumen: Business and management principles, including strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.
- Problem-Solving: Proven ability to manage processes to achieve objectives, with excellent problem-solving skills and ability to analyze workflow and processes.
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build effective business relationships with other functional areas to best support mutual objectives, with strong interpersonal, conflict management, and negotiation skills.
- Research and Analysis: Adept at conducting research into project-related issues and product, with ability to learn, understand, and apply new technologies.
- Communication: Effective written and verbal communication skills, with ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks.
- Computer Skills: Proficient computer skills, with ability to learn and apply new software and systems.
