Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Carpenter to join our team, responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to finished carpentry, including installation of insulation and vapor barrier, wood and steel stud framing, and finish carpentry skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform safe operation of hand and power tools, including temporary generators, ladders, table saws, routers, and sanding equipment.
  • Erect and disassemble scaffolding as needed.
  • Assist with demolition and debris disposal.
  • Prepare material take-offs and read blueprints.
  • Set up and take down poly containment and drop sheets to accommodate work.
  • Knowledgeable in building code and construction math.
  • Experienced in preparing material take-offs and reading blueprints.
  • Intermediate to advanced experience in installation of insulation and vapor barrier.
  • Intermediate to advanced experience in wood and steel stud framing application.
  • Intermediate to advanced experience in finish carpentry skills, including cutting and installing wood framing, trim, baseboard, casing, window/doors, frames, drywall/mud/tape/finish coat, painting, and sheathing.
  • Secure exterior building materials (roofing and siding) when required.
  • Construct and secure temporary and permanent partitions.
  • Work under time constraints to meet specific timelines.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in the field.
  • Construction/Restoration/Insurance experience preferred.
  • Ability to work within a team or independently as needed.
  • Self-driven to achieve goals and meet deadlines.
  • Eligible to operate a motor vehicle per BELFOR's vehicle policy.
  • Willing to work nights and weekends when requested.
  • Periodic travel may be required.
  • Criminal Record Check.
