Job Title: Carpenter

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Black Rock Paving. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the construction and maintenance of buildings and structures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Scheduling and coordinating work on sites
  • Surveying building locations and levels
  • Maintaining, repairing, and renovating residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience
  • Or equivalent experience
  • Criminal record check
  • Valid driver's license
