Emergency Response Team Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled Emergency Response Team Leader to join our team at Total Safety. As an integral part of our emergency response team, you will be responsible for leading emergency responses and ensuring the safe wellbeing of workers worldwide.
Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will have a strong background in fire protection, rescue, medical, and hazmat response. They will be responsible for assessing emergency situations, applying appropriate protocols, and providing leadership to the Emergency Response Team (ERT) members. The role also involves inspecting and maintaining emergency services equipment, developing department-specific protocols, and conducting training and drills for emergency scenarios.
In addition to their technical expertise, the ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. They will also be able to remain current with industry skills, education, and practices involving fire, rescue, and medical response.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Certified as NFPA 1001 level 2 from an International Fires Services Accreditation Council (IFSAC) or Pro board accredited facility
- Certified and registered through Alberta College of Paramedics to work in Alberta as a Primary Care Paramedic (PCP) or Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP)
- Class 3 drivers' license, with Q endorsement
- Experience in emergency response, particularly in refineries, upgraders, or chemical plants
Total Safety offers a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $115,000 per year, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
