About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Manager to join our team in Western Canada. As the point person for all accounting and finance needs at a project level, you will be responsible for evaluating construction job costs, data reporting/analysis for management, budgeting/forecasting, and revenue recognition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead project forecast reviews, utilizing historical and trending data to validate forecasts, and follow Company standards for cost and revenue reporting
  • Support Operations team with decision-making by identifying, quantifying, and communicating financial risks and opportunities
  • Manage employee performance using the division of responsibilities, clearly communicate expectations and goals, and provide coaching and radically honest feedback during employee performance reviews
  • Prepare client invoicing, manage accounts receivables and revenue, and review project cash flow projection on a monthly basis
  • Review and understand prime contract and change orders, including insurance, taxes, payment terms, and labor laws
  • Follow and implement proper internal controls, and act as the main point of contact for any internal or external financial audits
  • Drive continuous improvement throughout the organization and be a proponent for positive change
  • Earn trust, credibility, and buy-in of processes from Operations team to create better cohesion and clear communication within the organization
  • Show eagerness to learn ins and outs of the field operations to better understand and communicate financial reports and data
  • Display first-rate customer service skills, with a willing and positive attitude when/where needed

Requirements

  • 3+ years of financial/data analysis experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, and/or equivalent degree
