About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Cafeteria Supervisor to join our team at SNB Ferry Cafe. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our cafeteria, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards of food quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Service Management
    • Develop and implement effective food service strategies to meet the needs of our customers.
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of food service staff, ensuring that they are trained and equipped to provide excellent service.
    • Monitor and control food costs, inventory, and quality to ensure maximum efficiency and profitability.
  • Customer Service
    • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer complaints and feedback in a professional and courteous manner.
    • Ensure that all customers receive a high level of service, including prompt and accurate ordering and delivery of food and beverages.
  • Food Safety and Quality
    • Ensure that all food service operations are conducted in accordance with health and safety regulations and guidelines.
    • Monitor and maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and safety.
  • Staff Management
    • Supervise and train food service staff, providing guidance and support to ensure that they are equipped to perform their duties effectively.
    • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff to ensure that they are meeting performance expectations.
  • Inventory and Supply Chain Management
    • Manage inventory levels and ordering to ensure that all food and beverage supplies are available when needed.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure that we are receiving the best possible products and services.
    Requirements
    • Education
      • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
    • Experience
      • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service management role
    • Skills
      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
      • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
      • Strong organizational and time management skills
      • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
