About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Cafeteria Supervisor to join our team at SNB Ferry Cafe. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our cafeteria, providing exceptional customer service, and leading a team of staff to achieve our high standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement efficient systems to manage food preparation, portioning, and service
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent service delivery
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork
  • Estimate and manage inventory of ingredients and supplies, ensuring timely ordering and minimizing waste
  • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing valuable insights for business improvement
  • Collaborate with our social responsibility team to support newcomers and refugees, youth employment, and Indigenous people initiatives
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
