Quantum Systems Engineer Position for Photonics Expert
4 days ago
Are you passionate about harnessing the power of quantum science and building scalable solutions? We seek a seasoned Senior Quantum Systems Engineer to join our team at Photonic, a cutting-edge company revolutionizing computing. As a vital member of our cross-functional team, you will leverage your expertise in quantum systems engineering to design, model, and integrate complex quantum systems.
We are looking for an exceptional professional with a deep understanding of quantum science and engineering principles. Your ability to apply your knowledge in a systems engineering approach will be crucial in architecting the spin control path end-to-end, translating unmet needs into actionable requirements. You will also model radio frequency and microwave signal paths to meet system level requirements, leading the feedback loop on spin control via classical inline monitors (fiducials) and quantum gateset tomography.
Your role will involve defining and implementing test plans to integrate spin control subsystems and contributing to patents and peer-reviewed articles reporting advances where applicable. A strong background in cryogenic radio frequency and microwave system design and modeling is essential. Familiarity with one or more quantum computing platforms, such as ion traps, neutral atoms, defect centers, solid-state spins, or superconducting qubits, is also required.
We offer a competitive salary of $175,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, plus benefits including life insurance, extended health, dental, long-term disability, and a flexible spending account. Located in the greater Vancouver, BC, Canada area, this position requires relocation and flexibility to work on-site. If you're passionate about quantum technologies and enjoy a fast-paced environment, we encourage you to apply. With our inclusive culture and commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion, we strive to foster a collaborative and innovative workplace.
