Job Summary

The Embedded Systems Software Engineer will join our team of experts responsible for developing cutting-edge software solutions for law enforcement agencies across North America.

This role involves designing, implementing, and testing software applications using C/C++ language, with a focus on edge computing inference engines and Vehicle Intelligence-based (VI) applications.

The successful candidate will have experience with Linux, ARM cores, UI design, and networking protocols, as well as exposure to audio/video codecs and containers.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop software applications using C/C++ language
  2. Design, implement, and test software functionality from functional and system design specifications
  3. Code, integrate, test, debug, and refine software to produce required product
  4. Maintain developed software efficiently through solid knowledge of software lifecycles
  5. Document designs in engineering documents including functional block diagrams and data/logic flow charts

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of C/C++ programming experience using Linux and ARM cores in embedded systems
  • UI design experience (specifically with QT)
  • Linux, Ubuntu distribution, desktop/server configuration experience
  • Familiarity with principles of integrating edge devices to Azure IOT
  • Familiarity with networking protocols
  • Exposure to Audio Video codecs and their containers is highly desirable
  • Experience with open-source video tools, specifically GStreamer and FFmpeg is desirable

Salary: $85,000-$100,000 per year
