Leadership in Advanced Practice Nursing
Sinai Health is a leading academic health science centre with a provincial, national and international reputation for discovering and delivering life-changing care.
As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing leadership in advanced practice nursing through the collaborative management of an independent caseload of patients, families or groups within the IBD patient population.
Initiating and/or coordinating the implementation of a comprehensive plan of care developed in collaboration with the medical team, the patient and family, and other multidisciplinary team members as necessary.
Developing, implementing, and evaluating initiatives that improve patient care quality in IBD in accordance with the strategic goals of the organization and patient and family-centred care.
Assuming a leadership role in quality assurance, leading selected quality activities and administrative duties including committee involvement.
Collaborating in the establishment of goals and objectives for the IBD team consistent with the provision of high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and maintain the philosophy, goals and objectives of the Department of Nursing
- Provide leadership in advanced nursing practice through the collaborative management of an independent caseload of patients, families or groups within the IBD patient population
Requirements:
- Successful completion of a Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited educational institution
- Current registration as Nurse Practitioner (Extended Class) in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- 5- years' recent experience in assessment, management, biologic interventions and management of the continuum of the disease process
