Job Summary

As a Men's Health Nurse Specialist, you will be the key member of our healthcare team, working closely with nurse practitioners, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for our patients. You will be responsible for conducting initial patient assessments, gathering health history, and developing individualized care plans. Your expertise in phlebotomy, injections, and other procedures will be essential in providing high-quality care to our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial patient assessments and gather health history.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as directed by healthcare providers.
  • Monitor and document patient progress and medical information, including vital signs and responses to treatments.
  • Collaborate with nurse practitioners, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with regulations.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to stay updated on men's health issues.
Requirements
  • Current and active license with the provincial College of Nurses.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in men's health or primary care, is an asset.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient education.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
