Assistant Director of Care

Ignite Talent Solutions is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Care to join our client's team in Ontario. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a leading provider of care for seniors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and schedule resident care activities in compliance with applicable legislation.
  • Maintain an atmosphere conducive to achieving the optimal health and welfare of residents and employees.
  • Coordinate the hiring, orientation, continuing education, supervision, and performance evaluation of nursing staff.
  • Act as an ambassador and role model for the facility in all interactions with the community, residents, visitors, staff, and volunteers.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience working as a Registered Nurse in a managerial or supervisory capacity in the healthcare setting.
  • Current certificate of competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse.
  • Education in nursing, nursing administration, and gerontology.
  • Progressive leadership and hands-on approach to monitoring and evaluating resident care.
