Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Compensation Partner to play a key role in the development, administration, and communication of all compensation programs, as well as support for benefits plans in Canada. As a Compensation Partner, you will work closely with the Global Total Rewards team, the Head of Total Rewards Market Area North America (MANA), and other stakeholders to drive business process and policy improvements, ensure compliance with federal regulations and provincial laws, and provide tactical guidance and coaching to influence, educate, and enable others.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Global Total Rewards team on the annual salary review process, short and long-term incentives, and various compensation projects during the year.
  • Drive business process and policy improvements with the MANA Compensation team, ensuring they link with the HRIS and manage ad hoc projects end-to-end.
  • Be responsible for reviewing, evaluating, and ensuring all compensation programs in Canada are in full compliance with the applicable federal regulations and provincial laws in which Ericsson operates.
  • Fulfill all federal and provincial legal reporting requirements in relation to compensation and retirement programs.
  • Implement changes and enhancements in the compensation programs that may be required by federal regulations and provincial laws.
  • Understand and work on complex compensation issues where analysis of various situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
  • Lead 3rd party compensation surveys participation and use compensation surveys to benchmark and market price jobs and introduce enhancements.
  • Provide tactical guidance and coaching to influence, educate, and enable others.
  • Translate data into trends with key insights and recommendations that get results.
  • Effectively communicate and advise policies and information, knowing when to raise questions or issues.
  • Excellent attention to details and accuracy of data, ability to prioritize and follow through on requests.
  • Apply business knowledge and understanding to translate business needs to compensation-related solutions.
  • Explain complex information to others, that is potentially difficult or in sensitive situations.
  • Prepare compensation-related reports and analytics with accuracy and work closely with HRIS, Company Shared Services, and Payroll in support of compensation programs and maintaining HR data integrity.
  • Own the review, implementation, and administration of short and long-term variable compensation programs and Ericsson Stock Purchase Plan.
  • Recommend system, process, and program improvements to facilitate the efficient operation and effective reporting of variable compensation programs and ancillary programs.
  • Work closely with the MANA Benefits team in a supporting role during the implementation and administration of benefit programs in Canada and provide support in resolving benefits-related employee queries as needed.
  • Act as the key Compensation Partner for a Domain and/or a Customer Unit working closely with leaders and People Business Partners.
Requirements
  • Experience in working with compensation program development, benefit plans, sales incentive calculations, competitive market analysis, forecasting trends/costs, and modeling outcomes.
  • Working knowledge of Canadian benefit programs.
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team environment, including virtual teams.
  • Solid ability to influence, educate, and enable others.
  • Proven ability to translate data into trends with key insights and recommendations.
  • Ability to support and prioritize multiple concurrent projects.
  • Experience in working in a global environment.
  • Ability to handle HR-related information with strict confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Ability to organize, multi-task, meet deadlines, and recommend process improvements.
  • Ability to interpret and practically implement legal legislatures and regulations.
Qualifications
  • Fluency in both English and Canadian French.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resource Management, Finance, or similar subject area.
  • Proven experience in compensation or related field required.
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) for Canada preferred.
  • Strong to advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Proficiency with HRIS, SAP, Employee Central (EC), and market analysis tools.
