The Municipality of the District of Shelburne is seeking a skilled and motivated individual to fill the role of Public Works Facilities Operator Trainee. This is a full-time, unionized position that offers a competitive salary scale of $52,694 - $58,153, dependent upon qualifications and experience.

The successful candidate will work and train with the Public Works Facilities Operator, responsible for the maintenance of all municipal facilities and properties, including the Sewage Treatment Plant and other built infrastructure. This will involve:

  • Summer property maintenance, including lawn care, landscaping, and seasonal repairs
  • Winter property maintenance, including snow removal, ice control, and winter repairs
  • General office duties, including administrative tasks and record-keeping

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. They will also have a strong commitment to providing excellent customer service and ensuring the highest level of quality in their work.
