About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Public Works Labourer to join our team at the Municipality of the District of Shelburne. As a Public Works Labourer, you will play a vital role in maintaining the infrastructure and public spaces within our district.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and Maintain Public Spaces: Clean and maintain sidewalks, streets, roads, and public grounds to ensure a safe and clean environment for our residents and visitors.
  • Assist Equipment Operators: Assist equipment operators to secure attachments to equipment or trucks, and assist in routine maintenance and repair of equipment.
  • Load and Unload Supplies: Load and unload trucks with supplies and equipment, ensuring that all materials are properly stored and secured.
  • Perform Routine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance work, including cleaning and lubricating equipment, and performing minor repairs.
  • Assist Skilled Tradespersons: Assist skilled tradespersons with tasks such as painting, carpentry, and other maintenance-related activities.
